Job Description

Purpose:
This position is responsible for providing planning assistance and advice to all ChampionsGate clients and members, as well as providing that information to partnering departments to ensure successful follow-through with clients' wishes and plans.
Essential Functions:
Coordinate a detailed schedule of programs to include the following: meeting set-up, audio/ visual requirements, room reservations, airport pickups, recreational activities, food & beverage and special functions. Lead client through all aspects of planning resulting in a complete, detailed program. Act as Omni Champions Gate's liaison between client and staff. Recommend full usage of facility services to client. CSMs must be up to date on current pricing and operational procedures. Prepare detailed Banquet Event Orders for use by client and operational staff. Prepares program budgets as requested. Remains up to date on "things to do" in Orlando. Prepares detailed meeting room and function room diagrams for operational areas. Responsible for distributing agendas to both Convention Services and Catering teams. Attend weekly Resume meeting to discuss upcoming programs with Department Heads. Monitor client's program while on property to ensure a well-run meeting. Tracks daily progress and relates any changes to the group's agenda to appropriate departments. Ask for repeat business and referrals for follow-up by the sales team. Attend weekly Group Pickup with Director of Sales, and Director of Revenue Management. Attend department meetings and other company required trainings. Complete other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications :
Minimum one year planning experience, preferably in a hotel or resort. College degree preferred; work experience can substitute for education. Must have working knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint. Delphi experience is also a plus. Must be organized and detail oriented with ability to multitask. Physical Job Requirements (for essential functions only) The ability to sit and utilize telephone/computer for an entire shift.
