Job Description

Our client is currently seeking or in need of an Administrative Assistant for their office in Volusia County, Florida . This opportunity is ideal for a dependable and organized professional who can support daily administrative operations in a fast-paced office setting. The right candidate will be comfortable handling customer interactions, coordinating meetings, maintaining records, and supporting internal processes with accuracy and professionalism. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and prior administrative experience will be essential for success in this role.
The Day-to-Day:
Answer incoming phone calls and assist customers in a courteous and professional manner Receive and screen callers, then direct them to the appropriate employees, officials, or divisions as needed Schedule and coordinate meetings, including virtual meetings Maintain and update division employee databases and spreadsheets Manage records by scanning and indexing documents into OnBase Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail Maintain files and other important records in an organized manner Update procedural manuals as needed Provide general administrative support to help ensure smooth office operations
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required 2 years of Office Specialist I work experience 4 years of progressively responsible secretarial, administrative assistant, or equivalent experience 1 year of experience with Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word At least 1 year of experience working with Purchasing and Accounting software Knowledge of modern office practices and procedures Knowledge of division programs Knowledge of research techniques Knowledge of basic accounting principles and procedures
Pay Rate:
