Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning of patient rooms, public areas, offices, restrooms, and hallways using appropriate cleaning agents and equipment. Ensure all surfaces are sanitized according to established protocols to promote health and safety standards. Maintain cleanliness of floors through sweeping, mopping, buffing, or carpet cleaning as needed, utilizing proper floor care techniques. Restock supplies such as paper towels, soap dispensers, and other consumables to ensure accessibility for staff and visitors. Follow OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) guidelines to maintain a safe working environment while handling cleaning chemicals and equipment. Adhere to environmental services standards by properly disposing of waste and hazardous materials in accordance with sanitation regulations. Collaborate with team members to complete daily cleaning schedules efficiently while prioritizing high-traffic or high-priority areas. Experience Previous janitorial or custodial experience in commercial cleaning environments is preferred. Experience working in healthcare settings or hospitals is highly advantageous. Knowledge of OSHA safety standards related to cleaning chemicals and equipment usage. Familiarity with floor care techniques such as stripping, waxing, buffing, or carpet extraction. Demonstrated ability to perform sanitation tasks thoroughly while maintaining productivity in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
