Job Description

Established in 1876, the Lewis Bear Company has been a locally-owned and operated distribution company for five generations. It is the oldest privately held corporation in Florida and Anheuser-Busch's oldest continuous distributor. Our territory is Escambia, Santa Rosa, Okaloosa, Walton, Holmes, Washington, Bay, Jackson, Calhoun, Franklin and Gulf Counties in Florida.
SUMMARY:
Provides administrative support to The Lewis Bear Company by performing the following duties:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Verifies and balances daily route settlement in Encompass each morning. Communicate effectively with warehouse and delivery personnel to balance inventory and sales. Prepares/consolidate the daily sales deposit. Prepares and scans checks daily. Accounts Receivable - Post customer payments daily. Prepare customer statements. Research any customer questions or discrepancies. Maintain and post outstanding invoices reports. Communicate and collect outstanding invoices with sales team and customers. Report on overdue invoices/NSF to Beverage Department. Maintain and post the cash only/no sale list to the sales team. Process and communicate NSF payments. Answer customer calls and inquiries. Work with customers and sales team to set up and close customer accounts. Track employee inventory shortages and process payroll deductions. Maintain various tracking spreadsheets for management. Audit major chain invoices daily for payment/inventory discrepancies. Process customer credits/check requests monthly. Greet guests, customers and employees at the facility. Answer phones and direct customer calls to appropriate personnel.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
High School Diploma or GED; six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience Excellent communication skills Strong attention to detail Must have experience and the ability to use Microsoft software effectively.
