As an Office Float, you will provide front office and administrative support at our St. Augustine and St. Johns area locations. You will have the opportunity to work with different providers and team members while helping ensure our patients receive excellent service at every visit. Ability to travel between assigned locations as needed What You'll Do Welcome patients with a friendly and professional attitude. Check patients in and out for their appointments. Update patient demographic and insurance information. Verify insurance participation and obtain necessary referrals. Collect co-pays and patient balances and maintain accurate cash records. Schedule and confirm patient appointments. Answer multiple telephone lines, assist callers, and relay messages appropriately. Assist patients with questions, medical records, forms, and other requests. Maintain accurate electronic medical records. Follow HIPAA and patient confidentiality requirements. Provide front desk coverage at different office locations based on staffing and operational needs. Learn and adapt to the workflow of each location. Work closely with physicians, clinical staff, and other administrative team members. Assist with other office and administrative duties as needed. What We're Looking For The ideal candidate is someone who is dependable, positive, adaptable, and comfortable working with the public. Previous medical office experience preferred. High school diploma or GED required. Excellent customer service skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Professional and friendly demeanor. Ability to remain calm and professional when handling difficult or stressful situations. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to multitask and prioritize in a busy medical office. Comfortable learning new computer systems and electronic medical records. Knowledge of HIPAA and patient confidentiality requirements. Ability to work effectively with different teams and adapt to different office environments. Reliable transportation and ability to travel between assigned locations as needed.
