Functions Area of Responsibilities Serve as back-up timekeeper for the Hospice department. Assist Billing Coordinator with all hospital and physician covered and non-covered service charges related to Hospice. Prepare monthly statistics. Maintain the daily referral, admission, and discharge logs. Assures compliance with all regulatory standards and billing practices. Be familiar with rules and regulations of the Department of Human Resources regarding the Hospice operations. Assist administrator in the preparation of reports required to compile the annual Cost Reports. Serve as back-up to the billing coordinator in the processing of all Hospice claims. Track and monitor physician orders to ensure timeliness of receiving signatures. Coordinate with Business Development Coordinator to notify physicians that are not in compliance. Work with Billing Coordinator to assure all invoiced charges for DME and SNF Room and Board are appropriate. Maintains current list of all employees and volunteers to include address and telephone number. Track, maintain, and scan all non-electronic documents to the individual patient records. This includes the chain of custody forms for medications. Performs miscellaneous duties as required by the Administrator. Answer all incoming phone calls to the Hospice department and direct callers to appropriate members of the team. Monitor medical supply stock and assist Clint Care Assistant as needed with the ordering process. Assist with maintaining the stock rooms to assure all items are unpacked and rotated appropriately. Compliance Statement Employee performs within the prescribed limits of Tanner Health System's Ethics and Compliance program. Is responsible to detect, observe, and report compliance variances to their immediate supervisor, the Compliance Officer, or the Hotline.Required Knowledge & Skills Education:
