In this vital role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks efficiently. Your proactive approach will ensure smooth clinic operations, accurate documentation, and compliance with healthcare regulations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to patient care excellence in a fast-paced medical environment. Responsibilities Greet patients and visitors warmly, ensuring a positive first impression while managing check-in and check-out procedures Schedule appointments using electronic health record (EHR) system such as Epic, coordinating with clinical staff as needed Collect and verify patient insurance coverage, collect and process all medical fees, and handling non-clinical inquiries with accuracy and professionalism Maintain and update patient records in compliance with HIPAA and clinical confidentiality policies, reviewing documentation for completeness and accuracy Assist with obtaining all required insurance, referrals, authorization, and required information to ensure proper documentation for billing purposes Answer multi-line phone systems with excellent phone etiquette, directing calls appropriately and taking detailed messages when necessary Manage administrative support functions such as filing, data entry (including 10 key typing), and managing electronic health records (EHR) system like Epic Skills Strong knowledge of medical terminology, health information management, and medical office procedures Proficiency in EMR/EHR system-Epic for documentation review and management Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively via phone and in person; bilingual abilities are a plus Familiarity with clinical confidentiality policies such as HIPAA to ensure patient privacy at all times Competence in Microsoft Office applications for administrative tasks such as scheduling, correspondence, and record keeping Clinic experience in a healthcare setting Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in filing, documentation review, and medical records management Ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism Join our team as a Front Office Medical Assistant where your enthusiasm for healthcare support will make a meaningful difference in patients' lives.
