Part-Time Kitchen Assistant - Personal Chef Service $13.50/hour | 20+ hours/week | Monday-Wednesday | No Nights or Weekends Stovetop Solutions Personal Chef Services is looking for a dependable, energetic part-time Kitchen Assistant to help with in-home meal preparation throughout the Atlanta metro area. This is a hands-on kitchen position that includes food prep, cooking, dishes, cleaning, and loading and unloading groceries and equipment. It's a great fit for someone who enjoys cooking and wants consistent weekday work without the nights, weekends, and fast pace of a restaurant kitchen. Training is provided, and no culinary degree is required.
SCHEDULE
Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday Approximately 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. 20+ hours per week Additional hours may become available as the business grows. No nights or weekends. PAY $13.50 per hour This is a 1099 independent contractor position with the opportunity for additional hours and increased earning potential as the business grows.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Assist with meal preparation, including chopping vegetables, measuring ingredients, and preparing recipes Assist with cooking and gradually take on more cooking responsibilities as you're trained Follow written recipes and cooking instructions Wash dishes and clean throughout the cook day Keep client kitchens clean and organized Sweep and clean the kitchen before leaving each client home Load and unload groceries, food, and kitchen equipment Occasionally assist with grocery runs or drive to client homes when needed
WHAT I'M LOOKING FOR
You don't need years of professional kitchen experience. I'm looking for someone who enjoys cooking, is dependable, works hard, pays attention to detail, and is willing to learn.
You should:
Be reliable and punctual Enjoy cooking and learning new recipes and techniques Be comfortable following written recipes and directions Be willing to help with all aspects of the cook day, including food prep, cooking, dishes, sweeping, and cleanup Work efficiently and respectfully in clients' homes Be able to lift up to 35 pounds Have a valid driver's license and consistent access to a reliable, insured vehicle Be comfortable driving to client homes throughout the Atlanta metro area when needed Be legally authorized to work in the United States Be willing to complete a standard background check
A DIFFERENT KIND OF KITCHEN JOB
This isn't a restaurant kitchen. We work in clients' homes preparing customized meals for the week in a calm, organized, and collaborative environment. There are no dinner shifts, late nights, or weekends. Cooking is part of the position, but this is also very much a hands-on kitchen support role. Dishes, cleanup, sweeping, carrying groceries, and keeping the kitchen organized are all important parts of the job. If you enjoy being in the kitchen but don't enjoy the stress or schedule of restaurant work, this may be a great fit.

I'm looking for someone who wants to learn and grow with the business. As you become comfortable with my recipes, cooking methods, and systems, you'll gradually take on more cooking responsibilities.
