JOB SUMMARY
This position is responsible for carrying out all duties set forth by the Chief Marshal.
MAJOR DUTIES
Provides administrative support and is expected to perform duties effectively and reliably. Punctuality and consistent attendance are essential to ensure smooth daily operations within the office. Collaborate with various District Attorney's Offices and other government agencies, provide evidence, and other information upon request. Assist in a high volume of records requests from various attorneys, the public and record retrieval companies daily. Answer telephone in a polite and professional manner, responding to inquiries, concerns and complaints, providing information and assistance, taking messages and/or routing calls to appropriate personnel or department. Compose and type memos, letters and correspondence. Respond to emails in a professional and timely manner. Maintain work calendar for Marshals May be called upon to act as the Terminal Agency Coordinator (TAC) to ensure compliance with
GCIC/CJIS
File, organize, copy, fax, and store information in paper and digital form. Deliver interdepartmental mail on a daily basis. Order office supplies as needed. Maintain, update and ensure the accuracy of standard documents. Log and email subpoenas. Download and submit E Tickets to Municipal Court Perform other assigned administrative duties as associated with area of assignment.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Graduation from high school or possession of a GED certificate. Administrative or clerical experience preferred A valid State of Georgia ID/Driver's license. Must be able to pass a background check.
WORK REQUIREMENST AND EXPECTATIONS
Punctuality and regular attendance are required conditions of employment. Professional demeanor and customer service-oriented attitude. Must adhere to departmental policies, procedures, and performance standards. The ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with data entry and record management systems. Excellent organizational, deadline driven, multitasking, and time management abilities.
