The Secretary of State's Office has a team of dedicated professionals focused on providing excellent service to the people of Idaho while fostering a culture of support and engagement for its employees. Description The primary purpose of this position is to support the Business Division in receiving, processing, and reconciling all payments submitted by mail and online. The applicant will need to learn the functions of the office's fiscal systems from the ground up, as well as any Business Services Division systems required for this position. A successful candidate will need to be an ultimate team player, a quick learner, and willing to step up to assist in running the office efficiently when necessary.
Job Responsibilities:
Daily Responsibilities Open, scan, and distribute mail Verify and receipt in checks, cash, and credit cards Make changes or look up transactions for the Business Division when needed Reconcile till balance at the end of the day Verify for accuracy and reconcile prior-day batches with Statewide accounting reports Identify and process all refunds Monthly Responsibilities Reconcile credit card payments processed through Tyler Idaho to fiscal entries Enter batches for the prior business day's revenue for each division Prepare and take deposits to the State Treasurer Balance all fiscal entries into the agency accounting system Minimum Qualifications At least 1 year of experience processing credit card payments and handling money Comprehensive knowledge of office support functions, including word processing and excel Experience working in a database system A pleasant and professional demeanor A strong work ethic and drive to excel A high level of attention to detail Please submit: Current resume, and Cover letter detailing your qualifications and interest in the position with your application.
