Job Description
'm looking for a highly capable, organized, trustworthy person to help me keep a busy household and family running smoothly. This is not primarily a nanny position and not simply a housecleaning job. Think of it more as a combination of household manager, family assistant, and personal assistant. I have three school-aged kids, and I'm looking for another competent adult who enjoys creating order, noticing what needs attention, and making life easier for a busy family. Responsibilities will include a mix of: Weekly cleaning and household reset Grocery shopping, household inventory, and errands Meal planning and light meal prep Keeping our family calendar organized and current Tracking school events, sports, appointments, forms, and deadlines Scheduling appointments and handling occasional family administrative tasks Researching activities, camps, enrichment opportunities, mentors, services, etc. Helping organize household projects and coordinate outside service providers when needed Occasional transportation or supervision of middle- and high-school-aged kids My kids have their own chores, so I'm not looking for someone to pick up after them all day. When interacting with them, I'm looking for responsible adult oversight and engagement rather than traditional full-time childcare. The person who will thrive in this role is someone who naturally thinks: "I noticed this needs to be handled, so I handled it." You should be dependable, organized, resourceful, comfortable with technology and shared calendars, good with older kids, willing to clean and run errands, and able to work independently without needing a detailed assignment every hour. A background as a household manager, family assistant, executive/personal assistant, office manager, nanny, professional organizer, or experienced household manager would all translate well—but I'm more interested in judgment, initiative, reliability, and fit than a particular resume. Requirements Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle Current auto insurance Ability to pass a background check Strong references Comfortable around pets Comfortable performing household cleaning and normal physical household tasks
