Job Description
A Barrington law firm is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to support its attorneys and clients. This is primarily an administrative and clerical position and would be a strong fit for someone interested in building a stable, long-term career as a legal assistant. The firm is looking for someone who takes pride in staying organized, supporting a team, and helping create a positive experience for clients. Responsibilities File, scan, copy, and organize legal and client documents Prepare folders and materials for client meetings Enter and organize new client intake information Make appointment confirmation and follow-up calls to clients Manage calendars and assist with scheduling appointments Monitor, prioritize, and respond to emails Prepare client binders and document copies following signings Scan and securely store signed original documents Witness document signings when needed Sort and distribute incoming mail Prepare and update firm marketing folders File original legal documents in storage Assist attorneys and team members with additional office support needs Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Previous experience as a legal assistant, administrative assistant, or in a similar office support role preferred Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Professional and comfortable communicating with clients Dependable, proactive, and willing to take initiative Able to manage multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance Vision insurance Paid time off This is a fully in-office position located in Barrington, Illinois 60010.
