The ideal candidate will be highly organized, proactive and solutions-oriented, with the ability to take ownership of household operations, manage staff and vendors, and create efficient systems. The family is looking for a calm, grounded professional with exceptional attention to detail who anticipates needs and brings thoughtful ideas and solutions. Experience working in an active household with children, extended family members and multiple animals is important.
Responsibilities include:
Oversee the day-to-day operations of both residences, including household staff, vendors and service providers. Establish and maintain household systems, procedures, schedules and a comprehensive operations manual. Serve as the primary point of contact for household matters, protecting the principals' time and privacy and resolving issues independently whenever possible. Supervise household staff, establish clear responsibilities and accountability, and assist with future hiring and onboarding. Manage the master family calendar, including school, sports, tutoring, appointments, activities, travel and household schedules. Coordinate maintenance, repairs, preventive maintenance and household projects across both properties. Manage household purchasing, inventory, expenses, petty cash and credit card reconciliation. Coordinate the care, schedules and service providers for the family's animals. Provide logistical and household support for extended family members as needed. Provide personal and administrative support to the principals, including calendar management, gifting, purchases, personal projects and events. Continually evaluate household operations and proactively recommend improvements to service, organization and efficiency.
The ideal candidate will have:
Verifiable House Manager/Personal Assistant or comparable private household experience. Proven experience managing household staff, vendors and multiple properties. Experience working in a private household with multiple animals. Exceptional administrative, organizational and project management skills. Strong technology skills, including shared calendars, Google Workspace, Microsoft Office and household/project management platforms. Excellent judgment and confidence to make decisions and solve problems independently. A proactive, value-added approach with the ability to identify opportunities and make thoughtful recommendations to the principals. A calm relaxed and professional demeanor combined with meticulous attention to detail and exceptionally high service standards. Excellent communication, discretion and follow-through. Long-term intent.
Schedule:
Monday through Friday with flexibility for after hours and weekends as needed.
Compensation:
