We are seeking a Service Center Coordinator to play a vital role in supporting the daily operations of our service center by coordinating shipping and receiving activities, maintaining accurate inventory records, and providing administrative support that keeps our operation running efficiently. Primary Role:
The Service Center Coordinator is responsible for day-to-day office operations related to shipping, receiving, and quality control. This role ensures accurate order processing, timely customer communication, and smooth administrative support for the service center.
Responsibilities:
Shipping & Receiving Prepare the daily shipping schedule and coordinate expediting of orders in progress Receive stock into the computer system from mill purchase orders, stock transfers, customer returns, and spot buys Enter scale weights, mic readings, and product locations into the system within 48 hours of receipt Check order tags and sales orders for special instructions Trace customer deliveries and arrange pickups for customer returns Contact CPU customers with release numbers, weights, and pickup availability Check drivers in and out at the shipping window; ensure all paperwork is signed and properly completed Update freight requests Administrative & Office Support Serve as primary backup to the Office Manager Type correspondence, forms, purchase orders, and memos; make copies for distribution Assist the Service Center Manager and Office Manager with clerical and administrative needs Establish and maintain filing/data retrieval systems for customer, supplier, claims, purchase order, and correspondence records Serve as receptionist: screen and place calls, schedule appointments as directed Log all visitors on the visitor board Help coordinate service center social functions General Support and uphold company policies, procedures, and quality processes Maintain a clean, organized work area and put supplies away properly Report to work on time; work a flexible schedule when needed Maintain a professional appearance at all times Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Required:
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience Minimum 1 year of administrative experience; logistics experience a plus Proficiency with company computer systems (training provided as needed) Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Customer-service oriented, with a professional and energetic attitude Ability to work well in a team and with diverse groups of people Ability to manage multiple urgent tasks simultaneously

Pay:
$48,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
