Job Overview Responsibilities :

Assist with evening activities and leisure pursuits. Provide companionship and engage in conversations. Play video games, including Fallout, Skyrim and Nintendo Games . Assist with mobility and positioning as needed. Accompany and assist nurses with recreational outings. Assist with personal care tasks as required. Ensure a safe and comfortable environment. Cook and serve pre-planned meals from a recipe book, and follow diet plans. Be willing and able to learn specific life-saving medical emergency aid.

Qualifications :

Compassionate, patient, and empathetic demeanor. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to perform light physical tasks. Team-oriented and works well with others Must pass background check Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Tracheotomy experience a plus; not required

Salary/Benefits :

Starting $20.00 per hour 7 hour week night shifts 1-4 shifts per week; Flexible PTO You get to play video games and watch sports with a cool guy as your job.

Client Overview :

This position is for a private client who is a fully paralyzed quadriplegic and requires assistance with evening leisure activities. The client enjoys watching sports, reading about history and dictating video game play, including Skyrim, Call of Duty, Fortnite, Assassin's Creed, God of War. A skilled nurse is always present to perform medical and nursing duties , so the personal assistant will focus on providing companionship and assistance with care tasks. The client also may need assistance with recreational outings on occasion. He values a supportive, engaging, and comfortable environment and seeks an assistant who can contribute positively to his quality of life. Night PAs are crucial to a safe and comfortable sleeping environment for a ventilator dependent individual.
