Academic Services Description SUMMARY:
The VPA Office Assistant is responsible for handling clerical tasks. The Office Assistant will handle incoming phone calls and other communications, greet clients and visitors, as well perform other general office clerk duties and errands. The candidate, must possess the ability to write clearly and be proficient with word processing applications and have strong communication skills. Examples of Duties Manage filing system. Record information as needed. Greet clients and visitors as needed. Update paperwork, maintain documents, and type. Help organize and maintain office common areas. Perform general office clerk duties and errands. Coordinate events as necessary. Maintain office supply inventory. Maintain office equipment as needed. Assists with client reception as needed. Create, maintain, and enter information into databases. Other duties may be assigned. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or associate's degree. Experience as an office assistant or in a related field. Ability to write clearly and help with word processing when necessary. Warm personality with strong communication skills. Ability to work well under limited supervision. Great communication skills. Must successfully pass a criminal background check.
Supplemental Information STATUS:
This is a Part-Time Temporary position not to exceed 25 work hours per week.
