Category Schools - OT - Telehealth Job Type Contract A full-time Occupational Therapist with expertise in telehealth and school-based services is sought for a contract position located in South Holland, IL. This role focuses on delivering high-quality occupational therapy interventions within the educational setting, utilizing both in-person and telehealth methods to support student development and success.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive occupational therapy services to students in a school environment. Conduct assessments and develop individualized intervention plans addressing students' functional needs. Implement therapeutic strategies via telehealth as well as traditional onsite sessions. Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to enhance student participation and learning. Maintain accurate documentation and comply with relevant regulations and professional standards. Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in school-based occupational therapy.
Qualifications and Experience:
Valid Occupational Therapy license. Proven experience delivering OT services in schools, including telehealth. Strong understanding of educational systems and student-centered intervention strategies. Excellent communication skills for working with students, parents, and school staff. Ability to adapt therapeutic approaches for remote service delivery. Commitment to fostering student independence and academic achievement.
