Job Description

Job Site:
Kokomo Area Career Center (KACC)
Hours/Days:
37.5 hours per week, 260 days (12 months)
Hourly Rate:
$17.50 per hour

Responsibilities:
Responsible for providing secretarial support to the Principal, supporting the main office in an office manager role, and perform duties of school treasurer. Interfaces with KACC parents, students, stafff, schools, and community members. Prepares and submits state and federal reports with accuracy and according to deadlines. Maintain account spreadsheets, account reports, and other financial documents. Create and process orders, invoices, checks, and reimbursements for teacher programs, field trips, and extracurricular accounts. Effectively assist director, assistant director, or career counselor with any additional responsibilties or tasks as assigned.
Qualifications Desired:
Has excellent communication skills. Has the ability to work independently and on mulitiple tasks. Has excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to learn new technology software and platforms and effectively use in a school setting. Must be able to protect and not share any confidential student and staff information. Must have good accounting skills and able to calculate financial figures and amounts. Able to oversee account spreadsheets and follow established procedures and policies for financial reporting. Able to perform each essential listed duty and additionl responsibiltiies effectively.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Some higher-level education and/or work-related experience required. School-setting work experience preferred. Deadline to receive applications is Friday, October 2, 2026, or until filled. Posting may extend until position is filled.
