Job Description
The Administrative Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting daily office operations, ensuring a welcoming front desk presence, and assisting with a variety of administrative functions. The ideal candidate is a proactive self-starter who thrives in a dynamic and people-centric environment. Responsibilities Serve as the first point of contact by greeting visitors, answering phones, and managing general inquires Perform a variety of clerical tasks including data entry, preparing documents, and handling mail Ensure the front desk and common areas are clean and welcoming Receive, log, and distribute incoming packages and shipments Coordinate with external vendors (e.g., janitorial, vending) to ensure timely and effective services Monitor office supply level and reorder as necessary Assist staff with HR or payroll related inquiries by directing them to appropriate contacts or systems Coordinate meals or catering for meetings and events Help plan and execute office functions, team-building initiatives, and employee celebrations Other duties as assigned Qualifications High School Diploma Previous experience in administrative, office coordinator, or front desk role preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills Highly organized with the ability to prioritize and multitask effectively Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general office systems Friendly, professional demeanor with a proactive, can-do attitude Physical Demands Required to sit for extended periods of time Occasionally stand, walk, bend, and reach to access supplies and office equipment Lift and/or move objects up to 20 pounds Sortera Technologies, Inc. is an equal opportunity employer.
