Job Description
Administrative Assistant - Mt Vernon, IN American River Transportation Company This is a full-time, non-exempt level position. Working under the supervision of the Area Manager, the full-time Administrative Assistant's duties include a wide variety of standard and non-standard administrative duties. Such duties include, but are not limited to: Performing a full and varied array of clerical duties including data entry, copying, faxing, mailing, filing and answering a multi-line phone. Accounts Receivable/Payable Process procurement requests, which includes: obtaining quotes, data entry, verifying receipts of items. Maintain vendor database to ensure vendors meet company standards. Assist with payroll entry for 40 colleagues. Organizing and maintaining records for electronic filing systems. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Computer Program with an emphasis on Microsoft Word and Excel. Daily data entry on proprietary ADM software. Meeting monthly deadlines using Excel spreadsheets and various other programs to track data. Supporting ARTCo management staff with assigned project work. Maintaining confidentiality in all aspects of job duties. Maintaining a positive safety attitude in all prescribed duties. Promotes the ADM Way and Core Values. Other duties as assigned. Knowledge, skills and abilities required for this job include but are not limited to: Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel,) Excellent communication, analytical and problem-solving skills. Basic understanding of mathematical/accounting procedures preferred. Attention to detail with the ability to locate discrepancies is essential for this position. Ability to operate standard office equipment, including computers, copiers, scanners and the like. Ability to communicate effectively, including one on one and in front of a group. Ability to follow oral and written instructions. Effective time management and multi-tasking skills. Collaboration and teamwork involved in shared responsibility towards common goal. Self-motivation.
