Job Description

1. Works with many individuals (parents, teachers, principals, guidance) throughout all 6 districts

through various forms of communication (phone, email, written notifications, in person).

2. Possess and demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and disposition to effectively and accurately

complete data entry and reporting that is specific to Special Education requirements and

compliance.

3. Verifies and completes certification documents for bus aides, education interpreters, APE,

homebound aides (as needed), transportation aides, and others as needed.

4. Completes registration, travel requests, and reimbursement forms for professional development

trainings for REC and Special Ed office staff.

5. Completes RealTime Access (for New Castle only) for preschool students coming out of First

Steps.

6. If a parent contacts out office to inquire about preschool - accepts parent information for initial

referrals for preschool and forwards information to appropriate personnel.

7. Learn and become familiar with IIEP, CLSI, and PowerSchool basic processes such as data entry,

data comparison, push/pull IIEP records.

8. General office responsibilities - including phone, visitor check in, monitoring door, printing

procedural safeguards, and other clerical responsibilities (filing, record requests)

9. Process all Social Security verification requests, via mail, email, or fax.

10. Compile and present upcoming compliance dates weekly to all school districts.

11. Keep in close contact with Director about concerns with compliance dates that may not be met.

12. Track all Move-In students that have an IEP, and insure a Move-In IEP is completed within the 10

day timeline.

13. Enter data, and make office file for all preschool and First Steps students.

14. Print, enter data into CLSI, and file all Annual IEP's for all school districts.

15. Other responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Special Education or Superintendent of

schools.
