193 Days, Full-Time; 7.5 hrs. / day (Must be available anytime during the shift as driving assignment(s) dictate) This position will remain posted until filled. All qualified and interested applicants are encouraged to apply.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist in the transportation and routing of WLCSC students as well as maintaining up-to-date route and activity trip information Work in collaboration with the Director of Transportation to maintain day-to-day department operations and ensure all daily schedules are met Collaborate with schools to plan, assign, and fulfill transportation needs, acting as a liaison between the department, schools, parents, and staff Fill in for any driving needs and conducts new driver training Perform any other job-related tasks as assigned by the Director of TransportationJOB SPECIFICATIONS
Education, Training, and Experience Required:
High School Diploma or GED Equivalent Current Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with B, P, AIR, and S endorsements Valid DOT physical and drug screen Successful completion of annual school bus driver training Experience working in a school environment preferredKnowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Worker Characteristics:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (including Excel), Google Workspaces, and the Traversa student transportation system Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills Ability to pass an annual physical performance test and on-board performance evaluationWORKING CONDITIONS
Position works in office and school bus environments Frequently exposed to outside weather conditions, with occasional exposure to fumes and vibrations Regularly sitting, standing, walking, climbing, stooping, and reaching Requires full use of hands, arms, feet, legs, vision, and hearing, with the ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
