Immediately Job Description RISE Center Administrative Assistant Job Description
Purpose:
The RISE School Administrative Assistant position was established to provide secretarial and administrative support to the administration; communicate with staff, students, parents, and/or other districts; ensure compliance with ongoing reporting (attendance; food service, etc.); and support the broad array of services provided to students and staff. Responsible to: RISE Center School Administrator and SEK Interlocal Administrative Team
Salary:
Starting pay is $14.80/hr; Negotiable based on background and experience.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. College preferred. Efficient computer skills, experience with managing data, with knowledge of software, applications, and web-based platforms that are required by the administration. Proficiency in Word and Excel is preferred. Organizational, typing, and filing skills Ability to work independently, self-starter Professional and friendly demeanor Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Essential Functions:
Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work with a wide audience. Greet visitors and direct them to the appropriate meeting area or classroom. Answer telephones and respond to inquiries via telephone or email. Perform administrative tasks; including keeping attendance on students, managing the district lunch service requirements, and communicating with participating districts. Order and maintain office and building supplies Organize and distribute messages Maintain confidential files/records Organize and assist with the transportation of students to off-site learning opportunities Ability to work with minimal supervision Ability to be flexible
Physical Requirements/Environmental Conditions:
Requires the ability to sit/stand for prolonged periods. Requires the ability to manually move, lift, pull, or push heavy objects or materials Requires the ability to stoop or bend Must be able to work in semi-noisy environments Requires regular attendance and/or physical presence at the job.
General Responsibilities:
Assist in managing the operations of the Highland School main office. Frequently communicate with participating districts, parents, related service providers, and staff regarding students who attend the RISE Center. Maintain accurate records on student attendance, district meal services, and other relevant reports. Taking and filtering messages for administration. Assist in scheduling, and possibly providing, transportation for students to off-site opportunities. Assist with establishing and maintaining student records and information. Assist teachers within the classroom when the staffing of students is impacted. Other duties as assigned by the RISE Center Administrator and/or Interlocal Administrative Team, which are consistent with essential, general, and qualifications for this position.
