Frontline Futures Grant - Administrative Assistant SCSC - Garden City, KS 67846
Apply Overview Position Type Full Time Education Level High School Diploma/GED Category Grant Funded Apply Description Role:
To provide logistical and administrative support for all aspects of the Frontline Futures grant project. This position collaborates and communicates with all grant project staff, as well as faculty and staff related to the grant program and regular business operations, to assist with meeting objectives of these grant projects. This position is grant funded and continued employment is contingent upon ongoing funding.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
Assist with budget tracking, including the delivery of regular monthly updates. Assist with procurement of grant equipment and supplies, including all required documentation Coordinate and schedule regular meetings of grant staff, leadership team, and advisory board Assist with organization of all grant records and files. Coordinate dissemination of grant project documents and information to stakeholders Assist with travel documents and requests associated with grant project. Other duties as assigned by Project Manager.
Performance Measurements:
To schedule and organize work to meet established deadlines. To ensure that all correspondence is free of spelling, typographic and grammatical errors. To keep all assigned files and records current and well organized. To maintain a friendly, professional work environment and attitude when working with others. To function as an integral member of the grant project team.
Qualifications Knowledge and Skills:
Experience:
Three years' experience in clerical work or office management duties.
Education:
A high school education or GED.
Interpersonal Skills:
Work regularly involves contact with persons beyond immediate associates generally regarding routine matters for purposes of giving or obtaining information regarding the grant project which may require some discussion. Outside contacts take the form of service to the public (students, visitors or vendors) requiring ordinary courtesy in providing information and discussion.
Other Skills:
Knowledge and experience with governance procedures. Strong organizational skills. Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills. Well versed in the Microsoft Office Suite of products.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand or sit for extended periods; speak and hear clearly in group settings and at distances of 30 feet; maintain physical mobility, alertness, and composure; utilize appropriate presentation materials and equipment; and transport self and equipment to various campus/community/area sites as needed.
Work Environment:
Regular exposure to favorable conditions such as those found in a normal office. "This position is 100% federally funded through the Rural Health Transformation Grant.
