Job Description

Medical Assistant / Front Office Coordinator Kansas Pain Management is looking for a friendly, organized, and dependable Medical Assistant / Front Office Coordinator to join our team. This position is to support our front office and patient communication needs in a busy medical practice. Responsibilities Answer and manage incoming patient phone calls in a professional and courteous manner Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits Collect copays and deductibles, and past-due balances Collect and update patient demographic and insurance information Assist patients with questions regarding appointments and office procedures Triage incoming calls and determine the appropriate person or department to assist the patient Communicate patient concerns and messages to clinical staff as needed Check patients in and out and assist with front-desk duties Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records Coordinate referrals, authorizations, and other administrative tasks as needed Provide excellent customer service while maintaining patient confidentiality Work effectively with providers, medical assistants, and other office staff Qualifications Previous medical office, front desk, or medical assistant experience preferred Strong communication and customer service skills Comfortable answering and managing a high volume of phone calls Ability to multitask and stay organized in a busy medical environment Professional, dependable, and team-oriented Strong attention to detail Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems preferred Knowledge of HIPAA and patient privacy requirements What We're Looking For We are looking for someone who is patient-focused, reliable, organized, and able to communicate effectively with both patients and staff . The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced pain management practice and will take pride in providing a positive experience for every patient.
