Hiring Agency Justice & Public Safety Cabinet | Department of Corrections Location 374 New Bethel Church Road Fredonia, KY 42411 USA Description The Kentucky Department of Corrections (DOC), Division of Adult Institutions operates 12 correctional facilities that house Kentucky's adult inmate population. The mission of DOC is to protect the citizens of the Commonwealth and to provide a safe, secure and humane environment for staff and offenders in carrying out the mandates of the legislative and judicial processes; and, to provide opportunities for offenders to acquire skills which facilitate non-criminal behavior. The Western Kentucky Correctional Complex (WKCC) is hiring an Administrative Specialist Senior. This position works in the Education and Vocation Training Branch at the institution. This position provides professional support the Education staff regarding various complex projects and programs. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: Plan and organizes all administrative duties within the office Serve as liaison and point of contact for the Academic and Vocational School Manage correspondence Order and maintain supplies Compile various reports and documents Clerical duties Minimum RequirementsEDUCATION
Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree.EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS
