Join Our Team! We are looking for a motivated and adaptable Clerical Float Associate (PRN) to join the HealthWorks Medical team! In this dynamic role, you will provide essential front desk and clerical support across our multiple locations, helping ensure our patients receive excellent care and service. The Clerical Float Associate (PRN) primarily provides front desk support on an as-needed basis across multiple medical office locations. This position requires exceptional customer service skills, attention to detail, and adaptability to ensure a welcoming and efficient front desk experience for patients. The associate will fill in during staff absences, high-demand periods, or special projects, supporting seamless daily operations. The job is extremely fast-paced and requires excellent customer service skills. Some of the job duties include answering phone calls, scanning, faxing, data entry, and managing schedules. To be successful, you should have a pleasant personality, as this is also a customer service role. Multitasking is essential for this position. Responsibilities Greet patients professionally at the check-in window
  • Check patients in at their appointments - verify all demographic info is correct
  • Scanning and updating patient demographics into EMR Managing all medical record requests
  • Answers and directs incoming calls to the appropriate area professionally and politely, by identifying our organization and self Scheduling patient appointments Calling and rescheduling patient appointments according to the provider schedules Mailing lab and diagnostic results to patients Reconciling lab results in the EMR to the appropriate patient chart Sorting incoming mail to the appropriate location Assisting with incoming faxes to the office through the EMR and redirecting them to the appropriate location Other duties as assigned.

Job Type:
This is a PRN (pro re nata) position, meaning work is on an as-needed basis.

Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training or certifications in healthcare administration preferred.
Experience:
At least 1 year of experience in a medical office front desk or similar role preferred. Familiarity with EMR systems (e.g., ECW) and medical terminology is a plus.
Skills:
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment. Professional demeanor and ability to maintain confidentiality in all interactions.
Additional Requirements:
Reliable transportation and willingness to travel between locations as needed. Flexibility to work varying days.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods. Occasionally lift or move office materials or equipment (up to 25 pounds).
