Workforce Solutions Job Summary West Kentucky Community and Technical College (WKCTC) is seeking a motivated and community-focused Part-Time Recruitment Assistant to support the Workforce Connectors program within Workforce Solutions. Working approximately 20-24 hours per week, this position will focus on recruiting and engaging young adults ages 18-24 and connecting them with education, training, credentialing, work-based learning, and employment opportunities. The Recruitment Assistant will spend significant time in the community building relationships, developing referral networks, participating in outreach events, and connecting prospective participants with Workforce Connectors services.
Job Duties:
  • Actively recruit eligible young adults ages 18-24 into Workforce Connectors.
  • Conduct community outreach and represent WKCTC Workforce Solutions at career fairs, community events, resource fairs, and other recruitment opportunities.
  • Build relationships with community organizations, employers, career centers, schools, libraries, and other referral partners.
  • Develop creative strategies for reaching young adults who may not be connected to traditional education or workforce resources.
  • Follow up with prospective participants and assist them in moving from initial interest to program enrollment.
  • Support participant orientations, workshops, and other program activities.
  • Track recruitment activities, referrals, participant interest, and enrollment outcomes.
  • Assist with program documentation, scheduling, reporting, and other administrative needs.
Minimum Qualifications:
Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, organizational, and follow-up skills.
  • Ability to comfortably engage with young adults, community partners, employers, and groups in a variety of settings.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of the Workforce Solutions team.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Ability and willingness to travel throughout the program service area and participate in occasional evening or community events.
Experience in recruitment, community outreach, workforce development, education, or working with young adults is preferred.
