Job Description

CMG Pipelines Inc. is seeking a dependable and organized Construction Clerical position to support our Kenner, Louisiana office. This will be a full-time hourly/salary position based on experience. The ideal candidate will help coordinate daily office operations, support project documentation, communicate with vendors and field personnel, and assist our team in keeping municipal and fiber construction projects organized, compliant, and on schedule. Job Summary The Construction Clerical position provides clerical and project support to CMG Pipelines Inc.'s management, project, and field teams. This role serves as a key connection between the Kenner office, Executive Management in the Kenner, LA office, job sites, vendors, subcontractors, and customers. Responsibilities include maintaining project files, tracking compliance documents, assisting with invoices and time records, coordinating communications, and supporting day-to-day administrative needs. Key Responsibilities Project Documentation & Administrative Support
  • Maintain project records: Organize contracts, purchase orders, job files, correspondence, and related project documents.
  • Track compliance: Collect and maintain Certificates of Insurance, licenses, safety documentation, and vendor/subcontractor records.
  • Support project communication: Assist with document routing, status updates, meeting notes, and follow-up items for office and field personnel.
  • Assist with permitting and submittals: Help prepare, submit, and track permit applications, submittals, and other project-related documentation as needed.
  • Organize closeout materials: Compile final documentation, warranties, punch lists, and other closeout records at project completion. Office Coordination & Communications
  • Office support: Answer phones, route messages, greet visitors, manage emails, and assist with general administrative requests.
  • Scheduling and coordination: Help coordinate meetings, appointments, deliveries, and project-related communications.
  • Data entry: Enter and maintain accurate information related to invoices, purchase orders, employee time records, vendor information, and project logs.
  • Supplies and records: Monitor office supplies, assist with safety and field supply requests, and maintain organized electronic and paper filing systems. Qualifications & Skills
Experience:
Prior administrative, clerical, construction, utility, or field-support experience preferred.
    Education:
    High school diploma or equivalent required; additional business, office administration, or construction-related coursework is a plus.
    • Software skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and general email/calendar systems.
    Organization:
    Strong attention to detail, ability to prioritize tasks, and comfort working in a fast-paced office environment.
      Communication:
      Professional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively with office staff, field crews, vendors, and customers.
        Reliability:
        Dependable attendance, confidentiality, and a willingness to assist wherever needed. Compensation & Benefits

          Hourly rate/Salary based on experience.
