Job Description

Robert Half client is looking for a detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to support a CPA office during a busy time of year. This Contract position is part-time, M-F 10AM-3PM. This role is on-site, and offers the opportunity to help keep administrative and document workflows organized and on schedule. The ideal candidate is comfortable handling repetitive tasks, working accurately with numbers, and communicating clearly in an office environment.
Administrative Assistant Responsibilities:
  • Manage the final processing of completed tax return packages, including printing, scanning, reviewing supporting materials, and preparing documents for distribution or mailing.
  • Enter employee time records into the firm's billing system by accurately applying time codes, client codes, and hours from submitted timesheets.
  • Perform high-volume data entry with strong attention to accuracy, consistency, and confidentiality.
  • Organize, assemble, and verify client documents to ensure federal and state return materials are complete before release.
  • Support routine office operations such as document handling, file organization, and other seasonal administrative tasks as needed.
  • Work with numerical information carefully and follow established procedures to maintain accuracy across recurring assignments.
  • Assist with payment collection support and related administrative follow-up when required.
  • Use Microsoft Word and Excel to update records, maintain basic reports, and support day-to-day office administration.
