This role focuses heavily on file and document management rather than traditional receptionist duties. Education Requirements High school diploma or equivalent required Additional legal, administrative, or office training is a plus Experience Requirements Previous legal office experience preferred Strong computer and document management skills Experience with scanning, filing, typing, and data entry Familiarity with Time Matters software is a plus Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Job Duties Manage and maintain client files and legal documents Scan, copy, file, and organize paperwork accurately Enter and update information in Time Matters software Prepare and type correspondence, forms, and documents Retrieve, track, and manage physical and electronic records Assist attorneys and office staff with administrative tasks Run occasional office-related errands as needed Maintain accurate records and ensure document confidentiality Preferred Qualifications Previous experience supporting multiple departments or executive staff is beneficial. Experience with scheduling, document preparation, recordkeeping, and office coordination is preferred. Familiarity with business software, office equipment, and data entry systems is considered an asset. Individuals who demonstrate initiative, adaptability, and professionalism are well positioned for success as a Legal Receptionist. Physical Capabilities Ability to remain seated or stand for extended periods while performing office tasks. Frequent use of computers, telephones, and other standard office equipment. Occasional lifting or moving of office supplies and materials up to 20 pounds. Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers, customers, and visitors.
