Responsibilities also include patient scheduling, accepting/recording payments, verifying insurance benefits, communication with insurance companies, maintaining appropriate filing systems, and management of email and fax systems. The ideal candidate should have excellent oral and written communication skills, ability to multi-task and problem solve efficiently, excellent organization skills, ability to learn quickly, and be proficient with use of digital communication (email/fax/electronic scheduling). Ultimately, a successful Front Desk / Admin Assistant should ensure the efficient and smooth day-to-day operation of our office. Also given our patient population, the ideal candidate would be comfortable engaging with young children with developmental disabilities and their families. Responsibilities Answer and direct phone calls Organize and schedule appointments Write and distribute email, correspondence memos, letters, faxes and forms Assist in the preparation of regularly scheduled reports Develop and maintain a filing system Update and maintain office policies and procedures Provide general support to visitors Act as the point of contact for internal and external clients Assist with medical and client billing and receivables Skills Proven experience as an administrative assistant or office admin assistant Knowledge of office management systems and procedures Working knowledge of office equipment, like printers and fax machines Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work Attention to detail and problem solving skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task High School degree; additional qualification as an Administrative assistant or Secretary will be a plus
