Membership & Engagement Services Coord Barnstable, MA Apply We are seeking a highly organized, welcoming, and community-minded Membership & Engagement Services Coordinator to join our team. The Membership & Engagement Services Coordinator plays a central role in the day-to-day experience of the Art Center, supporting operations, membership services, and communications while helping to create a welcoming and engaging environment for members, artists, faculty, students and visitors. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys balancing people-focused interaction with behind-the-scenes coordination. The role blends administrative support, customer service, light marketing, and program coordination in a creative, community-centered environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Support membership services, including onboarding, renewals, database updates, and member engagement initiatives Process and track memberships, class registrations, donations, retail sales, and other transactions Maintain accurate records, rosters, inventories, calendars, and databases across systems Serve as a primary point of contact for visitors, phone calls, emails, and general inquiries Assist guests with information related to exhibitions, classes, events, and memberships Coordinate communications, including email campaigns, newsletters, social media scheduling, and website updates Support the planning and execution of classes, exhibitions, community events, and volunteer coordination Help maintain a welcoming, organized, and well-functioning facility and gift shop environment Contribute ideas that strengthen member engagement, programming, and community participation
Qualifications:
2-5 years of experience in administration, customer service, nonprofit, arts, membership, or community-facing roles (or equivalent combination of education and experience). Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, public-facing environment. Comfortable working with digital systems, databases, POS platforms, and communication tools. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace. Familiarity with email marketing platforms, Canva, website updates, or social media tools is a plus. Interest in the arts, community engagement, and creating positive visitor experiences.
