Job Description
Description We are looking for a Development Assistant to support daily administrative operations for a busy office in Boston, Massachusetts. This Long-term Contract position is well suited for someone who is organized, responsive, and comfortable managing a wide range of support tasks in a detail-oriented environment. The ideal candidate will help keep front-office activities running smoothly while providing dependable assistance with communication, records, and general coordination.
Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day administrative activities to support efficient office operations and team needs.
- Respond to incoming phone calls, direct inquiries appropriately, and relay messages in a timely manner.
- Welcome visitors and provide front-desk support to create a positive and organized office experience.
- Enter, update, and maintain records accurately in internal databases, spreadsheets, and administrative files.
- Prepare routine documents, correspondence, and reports while ensuring information is complete and well organized.
- Coordinate calendars, meetings, and general scheduling needs for staff as assigned.
- Maintain office supplies, support filing systems, and assist with other clerical duties to keep workflows on track. Requirements
- Previous experience in an administrative, office support, or receptionist-focused role.
- Strong ability to handle inbound calls with professionalism and clear communication.
- Proficiency in data entry with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Comfortable performing front-desk, clerical, and general administrative office tasks.
- Effective organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities during the workday.
- Working knowledge of standard office software and common administrative tools.
- Dependable interpersonal skills and a service-oriented approach when assisting staff and visitors.
