Compensation:
$20.00 - $26.00 per hour Article 1 - Overview of Engagement Cornerstone Recruiting ("Cornerstone") is partnering with a reputable construction firm ("Client") to engage a qualified Administrative Assistant on a contract-to-hire basis. This position is designed as an initial contract assignment with the potential for permanent hire based on performance, business needs, and mutual agreement. The Administrative Assistant will support daily office operations and assist project teams, field personnel, and leadership within a fast-paced construction environment. Article 2 - Scope of Work The Administrative Assistant shall perform duties including, but not limited to: Provide administrative support to project managers, estimators, and office staff Assist with construction documentation including contracts, submittals, RFIs, and change orders Maintain and organize project files (digital and hard copy) Coordinate schedules, meetings, and communication between office and field teams Manage incoming calls, emails, and general correspondence Support billing, invoicing, and project-related data entry Track project timelines, permits, and compliance documentation Perform additional administrative duties and special projects as assigned Article 3 - Term and Schedule The contract assignment will commence on a mutually agreed-upon start date and continue for an initial evaluation period (typically 3-6 months), unless otherwise extended or terminated. The position is full-time, with standard working hours aligned with Client operations. Article 4 - Compensation and Payment Terms The Administrative Assistant will be compensated at an hourly rate ranging from $20.00 to $26.00 per hour , based on experience and qualifications. Compensation will be paid on a weekly basis by Cornerstone Overtime must be pre-approved in accordance with Client and Cornerstone policies Benefits eligibility begin upon permanent hire Article 5 - QualificationsRequired Qualifications Minimum of 1 year of administrative experience (construction industry preferred) Strong organizational and multitasking abilities Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) Excellent communication skills and attention to detail Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment Preferred Qualifications Experience with construction documentation (RFIs, submittals, blueprints) Familiarity with construction management software (Procore, Bluebeam, or similar) Experience supporting project managers or field operations Article 6 - Conversion to Permanent Employment At the conclusion of the contract period, the Client may elect to convert the Administrative Assistant to a full-time, permanent employee based on performance, attendance, and overall fit. Conversion terms will be coordinated between the Client and Cornerstone. Article 7 - Employment Relationship During the contract period, the Administrative Assistant will be employed by Cornerstone Recruiting and assigned to the Client. This position is at-will , meaning employment may be terminated at any time, with or without cause or notice, consistent with company policy.
