•Job Summary We are seeking an organized and proactive In-Office Temporary Appraisal Administrative Assistant to provide as-needed support for our appraisal firm during standard business hours (9:00 AM to 5:00 PM). This on-call role is perfect for a skilled administrative professional looking for a premium hourly rate ($25/hr) and a highly flexible, intermittent work schedule. We will reach out when shifts become available due to peak volume periods, staff vacations, or large-scale projects.
•Key Responsibilities
•
Order & Pipeline Support:
Intake new appraisal requests, log them into our tracking system, and schedule property inspections.
•
Client & Phone Coverage:
Manage incoming phone calls, greet office visitors, and answer client status inquiries via phone and email.
•
Data Gathering & Research:
Retrieve public tax records, zoning maps, deeds, and MLS listings to assemble files for appraisers.
•
Document Preparation:
Assist with report formatting, compile digital exhibits (maps, photos), and generate client invoices.
•
Office Maintenance:
Handle scanning, digital/physical filing, mail sorting, and administrative tasks to keep the office organized.
•Qualifications
•
Availability:
Flexible to work in-office during 9:00 AM
•5:00 PM as needs fluctuate.
•
Experience:
1-3 years of administrative or office support experience. Experience in real estate, mortgage, title insurance, or appraisal offices is a strong plus.
•
Tech Skills:
Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), Adobe Acrobat, and fast, accurate data entry.
•
Communication:
Professional, polite, and confident communicator with strong client service skills.
•
Organization:
Able to quickly learn office workflows, follow checklists, and remain organized in a fast-paced environment
