Resource Assistant - Belfast WIC The Resource Assistant in Midcoast Maine Community Action's (MMCA) Belfast office plays an important role in supporting the delivery, coordination, and administration of community-based programs, with a primary focus on the Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) Program. This position helps ensure that services are delivered efficiently, accurately, and compassionately to individuals and families throughout the communities we serve. Working collaboratively with program managers, coordinators, and participants, the Resource Assistant provides administrative, customer service, and program support that contributes to the smooth day-to-day operation of MMCA programs. Through strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to exceptional service, the Resource Assistant helps connect community members with vital resources that promote health, nutrition, and economic stability. This position is ideal for someone seeking meaningful part-time employment with a mission-driven organization. The Resource Assistant has the opportunity to make a direct impact on the lives of children, families, and community members while contributing to MMCA's mission of empowering people, strengthening communities, and reducing the effects of poverty throughout Midcoast Maine. Qualifications A high school diploma or equivalent. At least one year of experience in a related position. Experience in office reception or customer service. Proficiency with computers and common software, including word processing, spreadsheets, and databases. Ability to carry out office procedures and use standard office equipment, such as a fax machine, copier, and postage machine. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to develop and maintain effective, efficient office procedures. Compensation Compensation will be based on experience and qualifications. Other Requirements A valid driver's license, automobile insurance that meets state requirements, and access to reliable transportation are required. The Resource Assistant must also follow MMCA policies for safe vehicle operation. Before employment begins, the selected candidate must successfully complete all required fingerprint-based criminal background, child protective services, sex offender registry, and motor vehicle record checks.
