Responsibilities Assist the Building Principal(s) in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the main office. Maintain accurate records for migrant students and submit weekly updates to the Migrant Coordinator. Process supply requisitions and purchase orders for approval. Manage building department budgets and prepare monthly budget statements for department chairs. Verify activity account deposits and submit them to Administration. Coordinate monthly student awards, including staff nominations, voting, parent notifications, and honor roll preparation. Prepare and distribute the weekly building newsletter. Send school announcements to families through the automated calling system at the request of the Principal(s). Coordinate office and bulk mailings. Issue, collect, and maintain inventory of building keys. Assist with staff check-out procedures at the end of the school year. Provide support with guidance office responsibilities and mailings. Serve as a backup to other building secretaries, maintaining a working knowledge of all office responsibilities. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements High school diploma required; Associate degree preferred. Previous office experience and strong technology skills preferred. Knowledge of recordkeeping procedures. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work effectively despite frequent interruptions. Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
