Role Overview As a Sr Administrative Secretary, you will provide essential secretarial, clerical, and administrative support to the Vice President, Division Head, or Physician-in-Charge. Your role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of the department by managing correspondence, scheduling, and special projects, all while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism. What You Will Do Prepare correspondence in final form and manage incoming and outgoing communications. Schedule meetings, appointments, and maintain calendars for supervisors. Maintain organized files and records, ensuring confidentiality and accessibility. Conduct special projects and gather data to prepare reports as assigned. Direct the work of lower-classified clerical employees and handle routine bookkeeping and billing functions. Receive visitors and answer questions from influential callers with professionalism and discretion. Qualifications What You Will Need Required Qualifications High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent. One year certificate from college or technical school with at least three (3) years of experience within an office setting; or five (5) or more years of related secretarial experience within an office setting. Previous experience scheduling appointments and maintaining calendars. Preferred Qualifications Progressively more responsible related work experience in a healthcare setting.
