POSITION SUMMARY JOB DESCRIPTION
providing support to Health & Safety Department, assisting in daily office needs and managing our department's general administrative activities. Administrative Assistant responsibilities include making travel and meeting arrangements, preparing reports and maintaining appropriate filing systems. Should have excellent oral and written communication skills and be able to organize their work using tools, like MS Excel and office equipment Ultimately, a successful Administrative Assistant should ensure the efficient and smooth day-to-day operation of our office.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS RESPONSIBILITIES
Answer and direct phone calls. Organize and schedule appointments. Plan meetings and take detailed minutes. Write and distribute email, correspondence memos, letters, faxes and forms. Assist in the preparation of regularly scheduled reports. Develop and maintain a filing system. Update and maintain office policies and procedures. Order office supplies and research new deals and suppliers. Responsible for knowing all events in the property as a whole. Facilitate and/or attend all mandatory meetings and training. Must have ability to maintain confidentiality. Sensitivity to Native American Culture. Operate within the parameters of the Leech Lake Human Resource Policy, Departmental Policy Manual and all Tribal Internal Controls (TICs), and all other applicable regulations. Secure the assets of Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe. Other duties as assigned.
