FTE or 80 Hours Biweekly With limited direct supervision, provides general and complex secretarial and administrative support services to Nursing Directors, Nurse Managers, Clinical Supervisors and Administrative Nursing Supervisors including establishing and maintaining records, composing and editing correspondence and documents; coordinating and supporting special projects; investigating information and providing assistance for a variety of other related activities. Required good communication skills to establish and maintain internal and external working relationships.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
High School diploma or equivalent, plus completion of specialized secretarial coursework or equivalent, OR (see Experience).
Experience:
Three (3) years of secretarial experience, including at least two (2) years in a health care setting.

Typing skills of 60 wpm. Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Products including Word and Excel. Speedwriting, shorthand and/or dictation preferred. Knowledge of basic communication skills and working with people. Ability to communicate assertively and appropriately with employees and the general public; ability to operate duplicating equipment; to spell and use good English; to understand and carry out oral and written instructions; to maintain records, files and reports and keep them organized; to maintain confidentiality; to prioritize and meet deadlines; to work concurrently with numerous details and interruptions with accuracy and timeliness.     Ability to read and interpret documents such as operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. WRITING
