ORGANIZATION DESCRIPTION
The PROP Shop of Eden Prairie is a nonprofit that serves low-income families by providing clothing, household items, and furniture. It collects in-kind donations from the community, offers free basic necessities to local families, and operates a resale store. With a small staff and more than 100 weekly volunteers, The PROP Shop is looking for a new team member to support its continued growth. Wage Category $19-$21/hour, non-exempt, part-time 20-30 hours/week, temporary 90 day-to hireJOB TITLE
Donations Coordinator We need your energy to meet the needs of a growing organization. You will assist donors, shoppers, and volunteers and help maintain the quality of donations and items on the sales floor. We are looking for a self-starter who is willing to work hard with a great team. 1. Donation Intake- Accept donations from community members and provide tax receipts
- Greet and thank donors
- Assist with lifting, loading, and unloading of donations 2. Store & donation processing
- Process donations and assist with donor relations as needed.
- Determine saleable goods and assist with display and marketing of goods.
- Maintain store appearance and help meet customer needs.
- Evaluate product quality and maintain adequate merchandise in resale store. 3. Volunteer management and training
- Train volunteers on warehouse and store procedures.
- Assist volunteers with tasks and ensure ongoing training and progression of skills.
- Evaluate volunteer performance to determine appropriate tasks.
- Communicate training and performance with Volunteer Coordinator and Operations Manager as appropriate. 4. Other duties
- Perform related duties as assigned by the Operations Manager.
