Administrative Assistant Last Hope Animal Rescue | Farmington, MN Part-Time | Approximately 20 hours per week $18-$20/hour, depending on experience Turn your passion for animals into work that truly matters. Last Hope Animal Rescue is looking for a dependable, compassionate, and highly organized Administrative Assistant to help support the daily operations of our small, mission-driven animal rescue. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys administrative work, communicates well, pays close attention to detail, and would love to use their skills to help animals and the people who care for them. What You'll Do

• Check messages, respond to emails, and assist adopters, fosters, volunteers, and members of the public
• Enter adoption contracts and other information into the rescue database
• Maintain accurate electronic and paper records
• Process donations and prepare donor acknowledgment and thank-you letters
• Track volunteer information and maintain volunteer records
• Collect and distribute mail from the post office box
• Prepare and make bank deposits
• Order and maintain office and rescue supplies
• Assist with filing, scanning, copying, correspondence, and general data entry
• Help keep the rescue office clean, organized, and welcoming
• Provide administrative support for adoption events, fundraising activities, and other rescue programs
• Work closely with rescue coordinators, volunteers, fosters, board members, and community partners
• Assist with other administrative and office duties as assigned What We're Looking For
• Previous administrative, office, customer service, nonprofit, shelter, or rescue experience is preferred
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
• Comfortable working with computers, databases, email, and Microsoft Office
• Ability to work independently, prioritize responsibilities, and follow through on assigned tasks
• Dependable, flexible, and willing to help wherever needed
• Professional and compassionate when working with the public, volunteers, fosters, and adopters
• Comfortable working around cats and dogs
