Job Description
Hiring range: $48,006 to $64,812 ($23.08 to $31.16 per hour). Starting rate will depend on experience, education, and qualifications. This position performs a variety of duties which include performing office administration and operations activities for the Sheriff's Office. This is a full-time, non-exempt, on-site position. Pay & Benefits Anoka County Salary Schedule Grade 28- LELS 567: $48,006 to $64,812 ($23.08 to $31.16 per hour). 24 days of paid flexible time off and up to 12.5 paid holidays. Work Location This position will work at the Anoka County Sheriff's Office, located at 13301 Hanson Blvd NW, Andover, MN 55304. Expected work hours are Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Job Duties and Responsibilities These examples are not all inclusive and are intended to be illustrative of primary responsibilities of an Anoka County Administrative Assistant. Provide clerical and administrative support for the Midwest Regional Forensic Lab (MRFL) Director, Assistant Laboratory Director, and Forensic Scientists in day-to-day functions and operations. Develops, maintains, and handles confidential information. Monitors MRFL monthly expenditures to ensure the use of proper coding and adherence to financial policies. Acts as the Midwest Regional Forensic Laboratory Division financial support and assists with annual budget and year-end financial processes. Submits, monitors, and tracks physical plant, IT and telecom work orders. Organizes and maintains filing systems and monitors record/evidence retention procedures. Receives, reviews, and processes all invoices for payment. Ensures accuracy and corrects issues as they arise. Monitors and tracks purchase orders, orders supplies, uniforms, consumables, coordinates contracts and service with vendors. Gives direction and responds to MRFL staff regarding purchases and the appropriate allocation of expenditures. Monitors MRFL fixed assets program and conducts annual inventories. Assists in the calculation of partner annual contributions, processing and submitting grant money requests, preparing MRFL monthly reports, writing and preparing semiannual grant progress reports. Develops systems and tracking methods including spreadsheets necessary to calculate and track various casework trends within the laboratory. Assists with the creation and distribution of monthly and yearly laboratory reports. Schedules and coordinates administrative meetings as required, attends meetings and takes minutes. May be assigned to assist in planning and coordinating MRFL and ACSO events. Interacts with co-workers, public officials, and the general public with professionalism and a respectful attitude. Produce appropriate response documents from within the Laboratory and provide such documents to legal staff during the discovery process. Support the QA manager in ensuring the security, accuracy, and compliance of all vault contents by assisting with regular vault audits. Complete special projects and other duties as assigned.
