$18.50/hour About Us CFR is a nonprofit organization dedicated to reducing food waste and hunger by redistributing surplus food to those in need. We rely on strong partnerships with food donors and volunteers to make a meaningful impact in our community. Position Summary The Office Assistant will provide essential administrative support to ensure smooth daily operations. This role involves general office tasks, data management, and coordination with donors and volunteers. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a collaborative environment. Key Responsibilities Perform general office duties, including answering phones, responding to emails, and maintaining records. Handle filing and data entry accurately and efficiently. Coordinate with food donors to schedule and confirm donations. Assist with volunteer communications and scheduling. Administrative support for the Board of Directors. Limited off-site tasks including mail pick-up, deliveries, meetings, as necessary. On occasion, fill in for the Site Coordinator (as needed), provide direction to volunteers and ensure operations run smoothly Support other administrative tasks as assigned. Qualifications Strong organizational and time-management skills. Proficiency with basic computer applications (Microsoft Office,Google Drive). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Able to work in-person, Monday-Wednesday-Friday from noon to 6 pm (at our downtown Rochester location).
Pay:
$18.50 per hour Expected hours: 18.0 - 20.0 per week
