An Office or Administrative Assistant performs administrative work in an office. Works in a wide variety of office settings, such as a company or business, or a government office or school. Manages paper and electronic files, uses office equipment including computers, responds to phone calls and emails, routes mail and maintains calendars and schedules.
8 hours per day, Monday through Friday for 10 months (207 days) primarily during the school year.
JOB DUTIES
To provide general office support and knowledgeable, professional, administrative services to students, families and staff in an efficient, timely, and courteous manner. Support scheduling for Counselors, Social Worker, on-site collated mental health providers, and student support services. Support of student registration process, post-secondary planning support through MCIS, and PSEO systems and processes. Verification of graduates, support of transition student records into 9th grade, and the entering of student test scores. Data entry through Skyward student information system, including family access, and address changes. Main contact for student transcripts with use of Parchment transcript service. Ability to work with data and spreadsheets, verification of data, preparing reports, creating templates, and filing information. In addition to regular responsibilities, cross-training in other office clerical duties will be provided.
QUALIFICATIONS
Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills; computer knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, Google docs, and various software applications; able to handle multiple tasks occurring at once; and ability to work effectively with co-workers, parents, students, community members, and staff. Salary based on experience and the 2025-2027 School Support Employees Agreement Level AA2 from $21.82 up to $24.09 per hour. Benefits based on full-time employment and may be pro-rated for part-time positions.
