Non-Exempt Job Description:
In this role, you will schedule appointments, field phone calls, and provide general administrative support to department personnel.Examples of Duties:
Manages the Director's calendar and schedules appointments, including detailed travel-related itineraries. Responds to calls and written correspondence. Prepares memos outlining and explaining administrative procedures and policies to supervisory workers, and monitors policy compliance. Directs preparation of meeting records, including agendas, notices, minutes, and resolutions. Prepares confidential correspondence, reports, and other complex documents. Creates and maintains databases and spreadsheet files. Organizes and maintains file system, and files correspondence and other records. May take minutes, transcribe notes, or perform other typing tasks. May facilitate programs, events, or conferences by arranging for facilities and caterer, issuing information or invitations, coordinating speakers, and controlling event budget. Performs other duties as assigned.Basic Qualifications:
Associate's degree (AA/AS) and 2 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office or similar software. Ability to type 35+ words per minute by touchOther Necessary Requirements:
