Full Time Position Summary The Office Support team member provides administrative and clerical assistance to help ensure the smooth daily operation of the hospice office. This role supports staff, patients, families, and vendors by handling front office duties, maintaining records, coordinating communication, and assisting with general office organization. The ideal candidate is compassionate, organized, professional, and comfortable working in a sensitive healthcare environment. Key Responsibilities Answer and direct phone calls in a courteous, professional, and compassionate manner. Greet visitors, patients' family members, and vendors while maintaining a welcoming office environment. Perform general clerical tasks such as filing, scanning, copying, faxing, and data entry. Maintain office records and documentation accurately and confidentially in accordance with company policies and healthcare privacy requirements. Assist with scheduling meetings, staff appointments, and office activities as needed. Manage incoming and outgoing mail , deliveries, and office correspondence. Order and maintain office supplies and notify management of inventory needs. Support hospice staff with administrative tasks, reports, and document preparation. Maintain organized patient and administrative files in both paper and electronic systems. Assist with onboarding paperwork , timesheets, and other routine personnel or office documentation as assigned. Help ensure compliance with office procedures, confidentiality standards, and applicable regulations. Perform other administrative duties as assigned to support office operations. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous office, receptionist, or administrative support experience preferred. Experience in a healthcare, hospice, home health, or medical office setting preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook, and basic office equipment. Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills . Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally. Friendly, dependable, and able to work effectively with diverse staff and families. Basic knowledge of medical terminology is a plus.
