Job Description

Position Title General Office Worker / Administrative Assistant (Summer - Part-Time, Contract) Position Type Part-Time, Temporary Contract (No Benefits) Pay Rate $15.00 per hour Schedule & Duration Approximately 20-25 hours per week May 11 through July 11 Flexible scheduling within normal business hours, as coordinated with supervisor Work Location Main office: 206 Old Whitfield Road, Pearl Summer program site located at a local Pearl elementary school Travel between sites may be required. Position Summary The General Office Worker / Administrative Assistant will provide administrative and clerical support during the summer program period. This individual will assist with general office tasks, support staff and program operations, and help ensure smooth daily operations at both the main office and summer program site. Key Responsibilities Perform general clerical duties including filing, copying, scanning, and organizing documents Data entry and document preparation using Microsoft Word, Excel, and/or Google Docs Answer phones professionally, take messages, and assist visitors in person Provide basic administrative support to office staff and program personnel Assist with scheduling, records management, and routine office correspondence Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information Support special projects or other administrative tasks as assigned Qualifications & Skills Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel and/or Google Docs Strong typing and data-entry skills Good verbal and written communication skills Professional phone etiquette Ability to work independently and follow instructions Reliable, organized, and detail-oriented Ability to work in both office and school-based environments Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is dependable, friendly, and organized, with a willingness to learn and assist wherever needed. Previous administrative or office experience is a plus but not required. Additional Information This is a temporary, contract position No benefits are provided Must be able to work on-site at designated locations
