Request to Recruit Working Title Administrative Assistant for MS Accounting Program Location Boone, NC Position Number N07451 Department Accounting - 255050 Position Summary Information Minimum Qualifications Four-year degree in business related field Excellent oral and written communication skills Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets and Microsoft Word Strong time management and planning skills Good interpersonal and collaboration skills License/Certification Required Essential Job Functions The Administrative Assistant for MS Accounting will help with administrative duties related to the MS Accounting Graduate Program. Typical duties will include, but are not limited to: Planning events such as information sessions, graduation hood ceremonies, orientations, and other events related to the MS Accounting program. Collaborative marketing support for MS Accounting program with Graduate Programs, as well as Undergraduate Accounting as applicable to the MS Accounting program Collecting data and reporting employment outcomes of undergraduate and graduate students. Assist incoming and existing graduate students with registration questions and issues. Administrative support for internship/employment opportunities. Oversee and manage graduate assistants. Support in planning guest speakers, etc. Work collaboratively with WCOB Graduate Programs staff as needed. Other duties as assigned Preferred Qualifications Previous administrative experience Proficient with Microsoft PowerPoint and Adobe Creative Cloud. Work Schedule/Hours To be determined at hiring based on needs of candidate and MS directors.
